Sunil Chhetri is a Indian footballer, born on Aug 3, 1984 at secunderabad, Telangana, India. His parents Gorkha Army working in India ,Khadga B. Kshetri and Nepali ex-women footballer Sushila Pandey Kshetri, he has two twin sisters Sasha and Sunanda. Chettri married Sonam. His twin sister Sasha and Sunanda were members of the Nepal women s national team.
career
Chhetri began his career with Mohun Bagan of the National Football League after playing with City FC of New Delhi. Chhetri scored only two goals during the 2004–05 season this time Mohun Bagan finished eighth in the league and remained in the National Football League on goal difference.
Chhetri signed with fellow I-League side East Bengal. He scored on his debut for East Bengal against Chirag United on 26 September 2008. Chhetri signed a two-year contract with another fellow I-League side, Dempo on 22 May 2009. On 22 July 2011, it was announced by I-League club Mohun Bagan that Chhetri has signed a one-year deal with the club.
