Ghattamaneni Sivarama Krishna, fans simply called as 'Krishna', Boxo ffice name is 'Super star'. He is a great artist in tollywood, he acted around 320 above movies. His parents are 'Veeraraghavayya Chowdhary' and 'Nagaratnamma Ghattamaneni'. Krishna born at village called 'Burripallem', near Tenali in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has two brothers and two sisters, G. Hanumantha Rao(brother) and G. Adhiseshagiri Rao(brother), and two younger sisters, Aliveelu mangamma and Lakshmi. He is Spouse of Indira Devi and Vijaya Nirmal. Super star is father of Two sons Ramesh and Mahesh and Three daughters Padmavathi, Manjula, Priyadarsini. His schooling is completed in his village, Tenali and Narsapur(S.S.C and Intermediate). Impressed by his scholastic achievements, his father raised money to send his son to the higher studies C.R.R. college in Eluru, At the college he shared a room with two persons 'Shoban Babu' and 'Murali Mohan', who are became a great stars in tollywood.In 1962 he married Indira Devi. She support Krishna in his salad days. In 1965, she gave birth to their first child Ramesh Babu Ghattamaneni at that time when Krishna made his feature film debut with "Tenemanasulu", it is a block buster hit and debut movie of krishna.In 1969 he married 'vijaya nirmala'.

Film career

He entered in film industry in 1965 with the movie 'Tene manasulu' directed by 'Aduriti Subbarao'. After completion of his studies he married "Indira devi" before he entered into film industry, In his film career she gave full support for his. Krishna is a trend-setter with films like 'Gudachari 116', a 'cowboy' film in 'Mosagallkau Mosagadu', 'James Bond' type in 'Agent Gopi ,'Alluri Sitarama Raju' and others. Krishna acted more than 50 multi starrer movies. He entered into politics during 'Rajiv Gandhi' period in 'Congress' and won from the Eluru constituency, but after the death of Rajiv Gandhi, he quit politics. His 100th film is 'Alluri Sitaramaraju', 200th film is 'Ennadu' and 300th film is 'Teluguveera Levara'. During this 40 years of his cine life, Krishna became the part of key milestones in tollywood industry.The first 70 MM film is produced and directed by Superstar Krishna 'Simhasanam' the first film for Krishna as director

In 1969 he married 'vijaya nirmala', they has no children but vijaya nirmala's first marriage son 'Naresh'treated as won son of us. His first wife's son 'Mahesh babu' is leading actor in telugu film industry. He is married 'Namrata Shirodkar' ("Miss India" 1993) in 2005 both are acted in movie "Vamsi" (1999). His stepson 'Naresh' also Actor in telugu industry. Krishna established the "Padmalaya Studios" with his brothers in 1983 and has won respect for donning several hats as actor, producer, director, distributor and exhibitor. He is credited with producing many technological firsts in Telugu cinema like first color movie 'Tene Manasulu', first cinema-scope movie 'Alluri Seetharama Raju', first 70mm movie 'Simhasanam' and first DTS Movie 'Telugu Veera Levara'.
