Babu Mohan is an artist and comedian in Tollywood, his original name is 'Kasturi Babu Mohan Rao' born at Beerolu, Khammam Distric, Andhra Pradesh. His father was a teacher. Babu Mohan is spouse of 'Indra Vijaya Lakshmi', this pair having two sons are 'Pavan Kumar', 'Uday Babu'. His elder son 'Pavan Kumar' died in a road accident in 2003. Babu Mohan found employment in the government Revenue department but He left this job, to pursue his interest in films.Babu Mohan debuted in the film 'Ee Prasnaku Baduledi', it was follwed by 'Ahuthi' directed by 'Kodi Ramakrishna'.

Babu Mohan entered in Tollywood in the year 1991 with the movie 'Ee Prasnaku Baduledi', then he acted in Kodi 'Ramakrishna's' Ahuthi. He acted as a comedian in the movie 'Mamagaru'. After this film, Babu Mohan and Kota Srinivasa Rao developed a comedy partnership.

Babu Mohan also played a role in Andhra Pradesh politics. He has been a supporter of 'N. T. Rama Rao' from his young days, and he is join in the 'Telugu Desam Party (TDP)'. He became an MLA from 'Medak district' Andole Constituency, serving as 'Social Welfare Minister' in the TDP government.
