Dhanush is an Indian film actor, producer, lyricist and playback singer. He mainly works Tamil Film Industry. He was born on July 28, 1983 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father Kasthuri Raja is film director and mother Vijayalakshmi. Dhanush has two sisters K. Vimala Geetha, Karthika Deviand one brother Selvaraghavan, he is also a director.
Dhanush married Super star Rajinikath daughter Aishwarya on Nov 18, 2004. The pair having Two sons Yatra Raja, Linga Raja.

Dhanush debuted in the film Thulluvadho Ilamai, directed by Kasthuri Raja. He then appeared in his brother Selvaraghavan first directorial movie Kadhal Kondein. Dhanush appeared in Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan and Ramanas Sullan. He also appeared in Dreams. His movies Kutty and Uthama Puthiran, were both collaborations with director Mithran Jawahar.

In the movie Mayakkam Enna, he collaborated with his brother and opposite with Richa Gangopadhyay. The movie 3 directed by his wife, Aishwarya Rajinikanth with Shruti Haasan. In 2013 he appeared in Maryan opposite Parvathi Menon. The film Anegan was a romantic action thriller directed by KV Anand. Dhanush was the brand ambassador of PETA and named Indias hottest vegetarian celebrity of 2011.
