Lara Dutta is an Indian actress, model and Producer. She is Miss Universe 2000 and Miss Intercontinental 1997. She was the second woman from India to be crowned Miss Universe.
Lara Parents are L.K. Dutta and Jennifer Dutta, her father is Punjabi father and mother is an Anglo-Indian. She ha two sisters Sabrina(Elder), Cheryl(Younger). She completed schooling at St. Francis Xavier Girls High School and the Frank Anthony Public School, completed graduation from University of Mumbai.
Lara married Mahesh Bhupathi on 16th February 2011, the pair have a baby girl named Saira.

Modelling
Lara modelling journey started in 1995. At Miss Universe 2000 in Cyprus, she achieved the highest score in the swimsuit competition. she became the second Indian Miss Universe.
Acting Entry
After winning of Miss Universe she entered into acting. She made her Hindi debut in 2003 with the film Andaaz, for this movie she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Then she appeared in Bardaasht.
Film Career
Dutta acted in No Entry opposite actors Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol and Celina Jaitley. She appeared alongside Akshay Kumar in Bhagam Bhag, which was one of the biggest hits of the year. The movie Partner is a Blockbuster in India and became the third biggest grosser of the year. Dutta made a special appearance in Om Shanti Om. In Housefull, she starred opposite Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. It was the fifth biggest hit in the country. Lara acted as an item number and had an extended special appearance in the movie Don 2.
