Shilpa Shetty is an Indian film actress and model. She was born on June 8, 1975 Chembur, Mumbai, India. Her parents are Surendra and Sunanda Shetty. She has a sister Shamita Shetty. Shilpa completed schooling at St. Anthony Girls High School in Chembur, sgeis a Bharatanatyam dancer and black belt in karate.
Shilpa married Raj Kundra, the pair have a son Vivan Raj Kundra.

Shilpa shetty started her acting career with a advertisement for Limka, at the age of 16 in 1991. The she debuted in Baazigar (1993). After that she acted in asupporting role co-starring alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. Shilpa s first leading role was in the film Aag in 1994.

Film Career
Shilpa made her Tamil debut movie Mr. Romeo in 1996 alongside actors Prabhu Deva and Madhoo. In 1998 she acted in Pardesi Babu, for which she received critical acclaim and won the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Supporting Actress. She later acted with Anil Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor in the film Rishtey (2002). In 2005 Shetty starred opposite Upendra in the Kannada film Auto Shankar. The film was a major box office success.
In the year 2006 she was a judge alongside Farah Khan & Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, a Sony Entertainment Television dance show based on the original UK show Strictly Come Dancing. She began hosting the second season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. In 2007 she modelled at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.
