Ramanaidu Daggubati is more popularly known as 'Rana', is a Telugu film actor. He is the son of popular producer 'D. Suresh Babu', the grandson of 'D. Ramanaidu' and the nephew of actor 'Venkatesh'. He was born on Dec 14, 1984 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Rana has attended his high school in Vengal Rao nagar , Hyderabad. He is also the nephew of Nagarjuna Akkineni, and his cousin is also a movie star known as Naga Chaitanya. Before embarking on an acting career, 'Rana' was a successful Digital Post entrepreneur, accredited with having transformed the evolution of the postproduction landscape in South India. Having identified an emerging need for digital services he established DI and state-of-art postproduction technologies through his company, Spirit Media.

Rana Daggubati entered in industry with the movie 'Leader' in 2010. He made his Bollywood debut with the Hindi film 'Dum Maaro Dum' which released on 22 April 2011. In 2012, he is entering into Tamil movie industry with 'Vada Chennai'.

Film Career

In 2011 he played a role in the film 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' under Puri Jagannath's direction, which became a box office bomb. His first release in 2012 was 'Naa Ishtam' and it was followed by his second Hindi film 'Department'. He next starred in 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' directed by 'Krish' which became a box office success. In 2013 he bagged two big budget projects, Gunasekhar's 'Rudhramadevi' and S. S. Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' in which he has a negative role, Rana has a cameo role in Ayan Mukerji's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
