Raadhika Sarathkumar is a Tamil television and film actress, successful entrepreneur and producer. She is the founder of Radaan Mediaworks, which has produced the successful serials Chithi, Annamalai, Selvi, Arasi, and Idi Katha Kadu (Telugu) she is currently acting a new serial Chellamay for Sun TV. Raadhika is the daughter of the late Tamil actor and comedian, M. R. Radha (Mohan Rajagopala Radhakrishnan Mudaliyar). Her mother is a 'Geetha Radha'. She has a younger sister named Nirosha (Niroja), who is also an actress. She is divorced with 'Prathap K. Pothan', 'Richard Hardy',Now she is married 'R. Sarathkumar'.

Acting Entry

Radhika debuted by Tamil director 'Bharathi raj'a when she was 16 years old. Her first film was 'Kizhakke Pogum Rail'. She has also acted in the serial 'Chellamay' for Sun TV which concluded recently and started to playing a double act as twin sisters in the new serial programme 'Vani Rani'. She was a judge on Vijay TV's Jodi Number One Season 4. She has also produced a film titled Meendum Oru Kaadhal Kathai, which won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director.

Fim career

Raadhika becoming successful in cinema, She wanted to do something different and decided to take on the small screen. In 1994 she set out to produce her own TV software under the Radaan TV banner. That was in 1994. After some initial hiccups, the company re-emerged successfully as Radaan Mediaworks (I) Ltd in 1999, and by 2008, has an annual turnover exceeding Rs 10 crore. In 2004, the company ventured into film production in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi markets. Radaan has plans to enter into Hindi television market.

Suhasini Maniratnam is a close friend of Radhika, who has been with her during her hard times and lent a shoulder. Radhika and Suhasini hit it off during their first meeting for a film shoot and went on to become thick friends. Though Radhika was very good at acting, her makeup and hairstyles were wanting. Suhasini Maniratnam, at her peak being a serious competitor for Radhika, has been Radhikas helping hand in redefining her looks and life. Suhasini in fact got an approval from director Vasanth, of Keladi Kanmani, a comeback movie for Radhika, to be with Radhika on the set and be her hairdresser and makeup artist. Both of them have gone on to different work paths after their peak stardom. Some of her other good friends in the film industry are Ramya Krishnan and Saritha.
