Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao is an Indian politician representing Telugu Desam Party. He was born on March 29, 1959 at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao is an MLA of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) from Mylavaram Assembly Constituency in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He won the Nandigama seat consecutively two terms in 1999 and 2004 elections. He is a strong leader of TDP in Krishna district.
Political Career
Devineni Uma contested in 2009 elections on TDP ticket. He was fielded from Mylavaram Constituency as Nandigama was reserved for SC Category in that elections. Uma defeated Appasami Sandeep Nannu of the Congress party in that elections. Uma is known for his articulate speeches in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and for leading several agitations in support of farmers.
